What is your favorite vacation you have ever been on?

We have been fortunate to have some really good vacations and a few years ago, I think we had my favorite. We took a road trip from Austin to Wyoming, staying just outside of Jackson Hole. We purposefully took our time getting up there, stopping in Colorado Springs, Denver, and hiking Red Rocks. Then onto hike the National Parks in Wyoming, which were simply breathtaking. I know there are some beautiful places globally and we have some exceptional places here too.

Which season is your favorite and why?

Hands down, fall is my favorite season. The color of leaves changing on the trees, hunting season, football season, the crispness of the first cold front, and lots of Saturdays watching college football with family make the fall my favorite season.

What did you want to be when you were younger?

When I was younger, people told me I argued a lot and that I should be a lawyer. So, from as far back as I can remember until about fifth grade, I wanted to be a lawyer. I can't remember what happened exactly, but between fifth and sixth grade, I decided I wanted to be a dentist. I pursued that all the way until my sophomore year of college. How did I get from that to being a Financial Planner? Ask me and I'll be glad to fill you in.

Are you an early bird or a night owl?

Early to bed, Early to rise; Makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise. That's me to a tee!

When Jeremy was eighteen, his grandparents gifted him his first shares of stock, sparking his interest in investing and financial planning. Like many people, his path wasn’t perfect. During graduate school and while raising a young family, he carried debt and felt the pressure that comes with financial uncertainty. A financial program at his church changed his life, helping him learn how to budget, reduce debt, create margin, and invest intentionally. That experience shaped his desire to help others experience confidence and peace with their financial lives.

Today, Jeremy serves clients as a founding partner at Cedarwood Financial Partners in Austin, TX. As a fiduciary financial advisor when managing assets, he works with high-net-worth families, business owners, and retirees to create personalized retirement income and wealth strategies aligned with their values and long-term goals.

Before becoming a financial advisor, Jeremy spent eleven years as a pastor, helping people navigate meaningful life decisions. His background in leadership, stewardship, and relational care continues to shape his approach to planning.

Outside of work, Jeremy is active in the Lake Travis community and enjoys time with his wife, Ashley, and their five children. If someone is looking for clarity, a second opinion, or guidance on their financial future, he often begins with a simple, no-pressure 20 minute Ask-Me-Anything call to see if working together makes sense.
